To show or not to show
By admin | January 3, 2008
Unless you know what you are doing you should never show your cards even if it seems like it might help you. Good poker players can extract more than enough information out of the cards you did not mock especially if you do it a number of times. For example this morning i play AJ. The flop is AK5. I then test the water with another bet. The guy thinks about calling, runs out of time and shows K7. He probably wanted to show his discipline but all i saw was that he plays hands he should not even play in the first place. I personally show my hands only if i’m trying to make someone tilt (Very rarely, if the situation is just right) or if we are having a friendly game and i do some kind of funny play.
